Lacing Up the Kicks for Marguerite Rix

In November of 2018 Marguerite and Mikaela were both supposed to run the TCS NYC Marathon. Unfortunately, due to Marguerite’s diagnosis, surgery and treatment she was unable to run. Mikaela decided to “Lace up her Kicks for Marguerite Rix” and raised $1,250 for The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. It was a beautiful day in November and we were so thankful to have family and friends come out at support Mikaela run in New York City!

Lining up on the Verrazano bridge. This was one of my favorite parts of the race. There is a beautiful view of the downtown NYC skyline. I felt like I was on top of the world!
I ran into my Mom and Dad in Brooklyn at a the 9 mile turn! They were the first "fans" I saw and was so excited to get a hug for more energy to keep going.

Seeing my fans on First Avenue! Some of the best hugs here!
