OUR STORY

Why We Fight…

In 2018, Marguerite and Mikaela were both training for the New York City Marathon but cancer had another plan for Marguerite. Since Marguerite was unable to run, Mikaela ran in her honor and fundraised for the Foundation for Women’s Cancer.

Shortly after Marguerite was declared cancer-free in 2019, Mikaela was diagnosed with breast cancer. Marguerite wanted to do something in return to show her support and the idea for For All Who Fight was born. With the help of Pure Barre Garden City, we hosted fundraiser classes and raised over $10,000 for The Foundation for Women’s Cancer and Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Research. In 2020 following our 1st Annual “Virtual” Walk we raised over $75,000 for the Young Women with Breast Cancer Program (YwBC) at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

In 2021, our first year as a registered 501(c)(3), through our 2nd Annual Walk, the Pure Barre Garden City donation classes and our MSK NYC Marathon team, we were able to raise over $85,000 for breast and ovarian cancer research! This makes 2021 our most successful year ever! We hope by spreading awareness and encouraging education and early detection, we will one day find a cure for breast and ovarian cancers!

We are so incredibly thankful for your support and we are excited to announce our 3rd Annual For All Who Fight Walk and our 1st Annual Celebration of Life Gala will take place on Saturday, September 17th, 2022.

Be on the lookout for additional event details coming soon!

OUR MISSION

We beat our cancers and now we fight for those who lost the fight, who won the fight, those still fighting, and those who are unaware of the fight that lies ahead.
