We Fight Like Girls
Virtual Run/ Walk Fundraiser 2020

October 3rd, 2020

This year we held our first ever “Virtual” Run/ Walk. We asked participants to join us in person on the Long Beach Boardwalk or run or walk in their neighborhoods. We had a beautiful day down in Long Beach and had people participate all across the United States. Through our efforts we were able to raise over $40,000 for Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Research and The Foundation for Women’s Cancer. We would not have been successful without your support!

The day started the day with a stretch class hosted by Pure Barre Garden City

In 2019 Marguerite (a Pure Barre Instructor) held our first We Fight Like Girls fundraiser at Pure Barre Garden City. With the global pandemic this year we had to get a little creative. Thankfully we were able to have an outdoor stretch class on the beach hosted by Pure Barre Garden City before the run.

Miriah lead an amazing class and everyone was nice as loose before they headed to the boardwalk. We are so incredibly thankful to Pure Barre Garden City and the PB community for their support the last 2 years!

Tradition Lacrosse

Mikaela coaches for the Tradition Lacrosse Club in Garden City. The girls on the 2025, 2026 and 2027 teams came out to support the cause by running and walking the boardwalk. The parents treated the girls to a little ice cream after at their favorite spot, Marvel!
